New Beginnings
Wow! Ok... So I’m a blogger now! Haha, I’ve become one of
the many men & women I’d make fun of as a teen... I reckon I should tell
y’all about myself so here goes.
My Name is Joe Tambwe. Born in the DRC but raised in South
Africa since I was like two years old. My hobbies are travelling &...
&... Ah Shucks! What am I saying?! Y’all don’t wanna read that crap. I mean
this isn’t a dating site. What y’all wanna read is what makes my blog so damn
interesting & why should you follow it... So here goes (Again)
Believe it or not, the idea of Waking Life came to me during
an intense yet somewhat POINTLESS argument with an ex girlfriend. She was
yelling at me about something I can’t really remember & I just zoned out
(As I’m sure MANY men have some time or another during an argument with a
woman) & thought to myself “How awesome would be if I could tell the
stories, secret lives & successes of future young, fresh &
up-and-coming artists, entrepreneurs & socialites in South Africa &
eventually the World.”
Unfortunately, I was snapped back to reality by my ex
(let’s call her Medusa)

asking... No wait... She wasn’t asking, she yelled... That’s right... She yelled out “YOU FUCKING BASTARD! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME!!!” (I wasn’t). I just looked at her (Not in the eyes of course... It’s Medusa guys) & said “You know what, I’m tired of your crap. Aint nobody got time for that” (Haha, get it?) & left. Never before have I been so happy to get out of a relationship. The drive back was beastly. Was just enjoying myself, singing along to John Mayer’s “Perfectly Lonely” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hEdP8x8yGE&feature=player_detailpage) & laughing with myself about a God awful failed relationship. And although something in my life at that moment had come to an end, I knew, on my way back home, that it was the start of a new beginning.

(If u have a failed relationship you’d like to talk about or
share, pleeeeease post it. We could laugh together, cry together & get mad
together).
So anyway... Waking Life... I call it Waking Life because I
feel like it’s about time that the world has different stories to talk about as
oppose to your usual celebs. The world needs to hear your story. Be it big or
small, YOU should be able to relate to these stories that are being told.
Rather than having to constantly endure pointless “realities” being thrown down
your throats by our media.
Throughout the course of the year I’ll be blogging about
young Artists trying to make it into the music industry, their trials &
tribulations, triumphs & defeats & of course where they are now. I’ll
also be blogging about fresh entrepreneurs who have started a business from the
ground up, the kind of target market they chose & why, & of course
whether the business is being sustained or sinking miserably. I’ll also be
informing y’all about the latest upcoming events, music & fashion from
these artists, entrepreneurs & avid socialites of South Africa.
Waking Life will also be somewhat a personal blog. I feel
like y’all deserve to know who I am, & I’d also like to interact with
y’all. My highs & lows, what I’m doing, stories & poetry I wanna share
with you, opinions & events of my love life will also be posted up here. If
y’all have a topic you’d like to talk about, a story you’d like to share or
want to get someone you think deserves a little publicity, out there, I’ll be
glad to share & read them with & for you.
Waking Life ladies & gentlemen! It’ll be something you
won’t ever regret being part of.
Till we meet, or should I rather say Blog, again!
PEACE!!!!
